Can two very different men turn an intense holiday romance into lasting love?

I shoot my mouth off and hide behind my smile as I try—and fail—to fill the void inside. Nothing has felt right since I was medically discharged from the army. Can there be more to life than a dead-end job and meaningless hook-ups?

I didn’t expect to win a Cuffd Destinations holiday, let alone meet a sexy guy who’s fun to be around. Jude doesn’t think he’s a Daddy, but I’m going to prove him wrong. Who knows what we might discover along the way?

Crazy Little Thing Cold Love is part of the Destination Daddies Season Two multi-author series. It features an emotionally scarred army veteran, a bubbly boy who sees the world in a unique way, summer snow, lots of steam, and a happy ending. Each book can be read as a standalone, but there are so many destinations and Daddies to discover, why not grab them all?

Trigger warning for mentions of PTSD, flashbacks, and nightmares.

I found a spare stool at the bar and ordered a drink. It took me about thirty seconds to notice I was sitting next to a muscly guy with blond hair and bright blue eyes. He had his back to the wall while nursing a tumbler of scotch on the rocks as he surveyed the room. He was Hollywood’s definition of gorgeous. Not that it would matter if he didn’t have a personality to match his roguish good looks and body builder-scale muscles. I hadn’t talked to him yet, which meant another twizzle stick was about to be mine.

“Hi,” I said, gesturing towards his lanyard. “I’m mint leaves, and you are…?”

“Light rum.”

Flashes of hot pink ignited at the edges of my vision, dominating the other colours already dancing there. The colour of his voice was beautiful, which was a good start.

“Really? That means that together, we’re a mojito.”

The man laughed. “I think we’re missing a few ingredients.” Vibrant pink swirled and undulated with the rhythm of his words.

“Maybe a mojito in potential?”

He laughed louder while I motioned to the barman.

“Light rum and mint leaves,” I told him.

He nodded, checked off our combination on a list, and gave us a twizzle stick. Twenty-four. I had more than hot-pink guy.

“How come you’re not mixing?” I asked.

“I’m talking to you, aren’t I?”

It was my turn to laugh. “Now you are, but you were alone when I came over.”

“I needed a breather.”

“Yeah, me too.” I turned around to face away from the bar and leant against it. I’m Kasper, by the way.” I held my hand out.

5 Stars

Crazy Little Thing Cold Love by Colette Davison is an installment in the multi-author series Destination Daddies Season Two. It’s a sweet and incredible story of a Boy who helps a man find his inner Daddy.

This is a sweet, high-heat, low angst Daddy/boy book. However, there is a trigger warning; one of the MCs has PTSD, and it is discussed throughout and includes a few flashbacks. I thought Davison did a great job navigating Jude’s issues and the overall character.
Jude, a war veteran, has been finding meaningless fun in kink clubs for the past few years. He hides behind humor and false bravado. He’s fighting his own demons and doesn’t see how he could do more than spank some subby men for an evening. Watching his best friend and his boy fall in love convinces him to take a shot at another Cuffd destination vacation, this time to Austria. Except for this time, it’s a Daddy destination. And he’s most definitely not a Daddy…right?
Kasper has a good life. He has his meddling best friend and a job he loves. After receiving notice that he won a free trip on the Cuffd app that he never signed up for, he’s hesitant to take the opportunity. Some prodding from his best friend helps, and then they’re off a few months later to Austria for a Daddy kink-themed vacation. He never expected to find his perfect guy the first night. He has to show Jude that he’s definitely a Daddy and has always been.
These men are sugary sweet but also quite complex. They were very hot and spicy in the bedroom but so compatible and playful outside of it. Jude’s PTSD issues were heartbreaking, but how Kasper understood and supported Jude throughout was my favorite part of this book. I truly enjoyed this whole book from start to finish.
This book is a 5 out of 5 for me. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys holiday romance and light kink. Or anyone who likes a good contemporary romance novel.

This is a Daddy awakening story – Jude has been medically discharged due to PTSD and plays the role of Mr. Hook up. He wants more, and his friends’ relationship stirs in him a curiosity about being a Daddy, so he signs up for a Cuff’d holiday in Austria, where he meets Kasper. The Jude of the start morphs quite quickly, which is good because he wasn’t great. You get a much better impression as he and Kasper start to interact.
Their exploration of the connection between them is sweet and surprisingly gentle. Kasper may be the Boy, but he leads Jude in his journey to realising he has a protective, caring side as a dominant. The handling of PTSD is sensitive, and I was so glad the author didn’t just make it go away and have them sleeping in the same bed. They make it work beautifully.
They are super sexy together; this is not a “little” Daddy /Boy relationship. It’s about being cared for and cherished, taking away the responsibility of day-to-day stresses. They cherish each other and work hard for their HEA after they return from their holiday.
A sweet story with genuinely likable characters that you will root for. A def recommended for all those fans of the tripe.

4 Stars!
This cute story had characters you just wanted to see get their happily ever after. Neither Jude nor Kasper initially wanted to go on a Destination vacation for different reasons, but it ended up being a wonderful experience for them both.
I liked how Jude and Kasper met, even more so because they were honest with each other.  Initially, they didn’t think their interests lined up well, but that didn’t stop them from spending time together and getting to know each other. I liked that they both learned new things about themselves while together. I liked that Kasper didn’t shy away when Jude’s issues reared up and that he made sure to ask how to help. I liked that Jude’s PTSD was handled realistically and that Jude took a hard look at what he was doing for himself after his week with Kasper.
Overall, it was a great read, and I loved how Jude and Kasper worked things out for themselves.
