Louis wants what his parents had: all encompassing love. He never believed he’d find it until a chance meeting with a man in his childhood vacation spot. Unfortunately, a brief encounter is all they have before Mal disappears. When Louis unexpectedly meets up with him again, he refuses to let go, not willing to trust that fate would allow them to meet a third time.
Mal doesn’t begrudge becoming guardian to his sister, but nothing will ever be the same. Especially when he meets the man of his dreams on vacation days before his life is turned upside down. Leaving Louis was the hardest thing he’d ever had to do, but he can’t allow someone to get too close and upset the precarious balance of his new responsibilities. However, Fate has other plans.
Does Louis have what it takes to change Mal’s mind?

Okay, I’ll be honest, when I read the blurb, it wasn’t what is expected from the title, but as the blurb grabbed me, I went with the book anyway. I’m glad I did, as I enjoyed this surprisingly sweet and emotional story. I haven’t read the other books in this shared universe series, but it really didn’t matter for this story. It didn’t impact my enjoyment.

I like a story where the MCs meet straight away, and the relationship builds. In this story, we see a connection from the start, but life pulls them apart. I felt for Mal and the decisions he had to make. His life is complicated, and it would seem like the right thing to do. Louis’s gentle, steady pursuing of him was the only way to win him over. I loved how he fits himself into all the parts of Mal’s life. This is a gentle story, with moments of heat, sweetness, and some challenging emotional moments, especially around Mal’s father.

Despite what the title makes it sound like, this is a story about having the patience to wait for love. There are passionate moments that are definitely hot, but that isn’t the focus. I’d recommend it to everyone who’s looking for a love story with a bit of heat.

Mal and Louis meet during a vacation and have a sizzling, instant connection, after which Mal returns to his real life, which includes taking care of his younger sister, since their father is in hospice now. Meeting again by chance, Louis pursues Mal, knowing they could have something really special, and while Mal knows that, too, he has more than himself to consider now.

I really enjoyed this book, from the meet-cute to the sweet epilogue, it was sweet, hot, with just some angst and a few twists to keep things interesting. Definitely recommendable!

I appreciate a book that gets right to it, and that was the case with Sizzling Chauffeur. They meet straight away and hit it off just as quickly. Instant attraction is not something that bothers me. As long as the relationship has depth, the characters can fall in love by the end of page 1.

Louis and Mal are both characters that you can easily relate to. I found myself hoping they’d meet again after that first day—which is crazy because this is a romance book. Of course, they were going to meet again. It was cute how flustered they made each other and enjoyable to watch the progression of their relationship going from a one-off on vacation to a relationship back in the real world.

This story had a decent flow and was easy to read. I’d recommend it you are looking for something easy going, has good character development, and makes you smile.

I am Elouise East but feel free to call me Elli. I write sweet and steamy connections in gay romance. I also touch on taboo stories under the name Elouise R East.

Books that tell the stories where friendship and family are the focal point – be it blood family or chosen – is very important to me. That’s why I include a variety of personalities, talents, ages, situations and abilities as I believe a story needs, or a character needs. I want my characters to be real, to be relatable, to be free to have whatever views they tell me they have. And trust me, most of the time, I do not have any say in the matter!

My characters come to life on the page for me as well as my readers. Their stories unfold in front of me, and I have very little input into how they want to be shown. Just like real life, the lives of my characters change with every choice, every interaction and every conversation. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I write books that are emotionally realistic, even if liberties are taken with other aspects of my stories. I don’t know any other way to write. It comes from deep inside.

Who am I? A single parent to two children who make life worth living. An avid reader who still devours every book she can get her hands on. A student of learning about any subject that takes her fancy. An author of books she would read herself. And a romantic at heart who loves anything cheesy.
