I am now needing more Jonty! Having just literally read the last page, I am impatient for his next adventure. The stories keep getting better, and I feel that he has grown immensely even though Jonty still has practically no filter at times. Or perhaps it’s because he finally has someone to believe in him. Putting together a huge Halloween bash for the freshly renovated Dunes, Jonty is at his creative best. He alternates from enjoying himself to being terrified at the magnitude of this event. The party has turned into a massive celebration, and he is feeling the pressure.

At first, Devan, the best boyfriend ever, was not convinced having this party would be a good idea. However, as he watched Jonty’s vivid imagination unfold as he created this Halloween extravaganza, he changed his mind. The party’s description was graphic, hysterical, and sometimes gruesome, and in other words, Jonty is putting together the best Halloween party ever.

There are problems along the way—some small and others much more serious—but Jonty, with Devan by his side, is unstoppable. We also get a pleasant visit with Devan’s brother Cato and his boyfriend Vigge. Other familiar characters fill the pages, and I loved every single moment! No matter what is thrown at Jonty, he always bounces back and lights up everything around him with his intense spirit and optimism.

I can’t possibly urge you enough to read this book. If you haven’t had a chance to visit the previous stories, please do so. I bet you’ll be grateful you did. Happy reading!

There are some characters that you fall in love with and shed a tear when their story finishes. Jonty Bloom is one of those characters. Luckily for us, the author realizes this and has taken pity on us. So we get to return to the world of Jonty and Devan for another short novella, this time at Halloween. You can’t fully appreciate this without having read the other Jonty stories. The first is The Making of Jonty Bloom: Book 1 of The Unfinished Series. The whole series is lovely and so worth reading.

We have been back to see Jonty a couple of times, and this time we get to see him organising a Halloween party and the absolute chaos that ensues caused by Jonty’s good intentions and heart of gold. Of course, there’s someone causing problems. IT!? The author just had to choose that costume. It’s not only Jonty that’s scared of clowns. As funny as these stories always are, it’s Jonty and Devan’s love that shines through to capture your heart. I will never look at a T-Rex costume the same again. Of course, we also get to catch up with other characters from the series too, which is just lovely.

This book was a perfect little catch-up with one of my favourite couples—an absolute must-read for all Jonty fans. If you’ve never read the series, please go back and start at the beginning. I guarantee you won’t regret it.
