“Look out for Zach and don’t hit on him.”

My brother’s request sounds easy enough. Keep an eye out for his best friend on campus and keep my hands to myself.

Even if Zach is a quintessential nerd, who I’ve always thought was cute, I don’t have the time to think with my … stick.

There’s only one stick I should be focused on this year, and that’s my hockey stick. My goal once I graduate is to get an NHL contract.

The last thing I need is a distraction. On or off the ice.

Only, keeping to the rules is harder than I thought it would be.

People confuse me.

And no one more than Foster Grant.

I’ve barely spoken two words to him in the whole time I’ve known him, but the second I step foot on campus, he’s impossible to shake.

I can never anticipate his next move. And whenever we’re together, my next move is a total mystery as well.

I want to give in to him, but that might mean coming clean about something I’ve never been bothered about before.

I’m still carrying my V-card.

And I think it’s time to turn it in.

I’m going to be perfectly honest, once upon a time, college-set books were big favorites for me. Then, I kinda moved on to different tropes and genres and I rarely read them any longer. This book reminded me of just why I loved this particular trope.

Zach was so adorkable. He was quirky and weird around other people, finding it difficult to connect or understand them, but with Foster, it was like he could finally blossom into this whole new, improved version of himself, still quirky, but willing to open himself to Foster and their friendship first and their attraction later. It wasn’t a smooth path, but Foster was just so kind, patient and protective with Zach, without coddling him (too much) that my heart melted all over the place. They couldn’t have been more different if they tried, and yet, they fit together perfectly and it definitely didn’t hurt that they had a lot of chemistry.

I loved Seth, Foster’s twin brother and Zach’s BFF, and Foster’s parents and his best friend Jacobs, they were all a great cast of supporting characters that added a lot to the story.

As collaborations go, Ms. James and Ms. Finley did a great job and their writing styles meshed well together. The book was engaging and fun and I hope we’ll see more books in this ‘verse in the future. Very recommendable!

I’ve previously read Eden Finley, but never any anything by Saxon James, together, their writing flowed seamlessly and I couldn’t tell where ones started and the others ended. This was a great collaboration and a really enjoyable read.

I loved both Foster and Zach, they were complete opposites, who fit together perfectly. They had amazing chemistry and while it took a while for either of them to make a move, once they did, they were smoking hot together.

This was a nice read, I loved not only Foster and Zach, but Foster’s brother, Seth, and their parents, and Foster’s teammate and best friend, Jacobs — who I’m hoping isn’t completely straight and we’ll see more of in the future — they were all great secondary characters and a nice support system for Foster and Zach.

This was a sweet, low-angst, sexy read that I’d definitely have no problem recommending!

4 Stars

I enjoyed Foster and Zach’s story more then I anticipated and I really needed that since I’ve been in a horrible reading slump over the past few months and hopefully this helped getting past that.

Foster was so focused on hockey and his future but I loved how he helped Zach and their interactions had me smiling and needing more of them with every page.

Zach was my favorite character, his mannerisms and thought process made me love him so much more. His friendship with Foster’s brother was great and their conversations had me hoping for more.

I’ve loved all of Eden’s books I’ve read and she and Saxon were such an awesome writing duo that I hope will continue to collaborate on more books in the future.

Eden Finley is an Amazon bestselling author who writes steamy contemporary romances that are full of snark and light-hearted fluff.

She doesn’t take anything too seriously and lives to create an escape from real life for her readers. The ideas always begin with a wackadoodle premise, and she does her best to turn them into romances with heart.

With a short attention span that rivals her son’s, she writes multiple different pairings: MM, MMF, and MF.

She’s also an Australian girl and apologises for her Australianisms that sometimes don’t make sense to anyone else.
