If you were granted just one wish, what would you choose?
Money? Fame? Power? Love?

The world could be your oyster,
if you were willing to take the chance.

But choose wisely, and prepare for the consequences.
Everything has its price.
Can you afford it?

Be careful what you wish for.
And remember, smiling faces tell lies…

Noah & Josh

The entire world witnessed their fight for love.
Obstacles were beaten and won.
They were living their best lives.

Wait?
Is that all? Is that the end?
Seriously, did you really think it would be that easy?
Oh, hell no.
Their story is just beginning.

Josh and Noah are navigating the twists and turns of their newly public relationship…to varying degrees of success.

When they are lured into the trappings of Hollywood’s influence, they end up on the rollercoaster ride of their lives.

Strap on your seatbelt and get ready for a bumpy ride.
You will need to hold on tight.

Temptation, by any measure, is a fickle beast.
And when you are given the world on a silver platter, it’s downright wicked.

Truth, lies, fame, fortune.

All bonds will be tested.

Will the binds that ground them finally break?

Music plays a large part in how I create scenes for my books. I make reference to many in the books themselves, but I use certain songs to create an atmosphere that inspires me to set the tone for specific scenarios.

  1. Just Like Heaven – The Cure – Appears in the first book of the series after Noah and Josh reconcile over Christmas break. The song invokes a feeling of euphoria, which they are experiencing at that moment at the Fork in the Road Diner.
  2. True Faith – New Order – Title song of my second book. This song encompasses the overall theme of the book, which deals with life choices and consequences.
  3. Tainted Love – Soft Cell – Song that plays during special events in Noah and Josh’s life.
  4. Stumblin’ In – Suzi Quatro/Chris Norman – No one knows this song, it’s so old. I used it in the first novel because, like Tainted Love is Noah and Josh’s song, Stumblin’ In is me and my husband’s song. One random day while walking through Costco the song came on over the PA system. We both began singing it. I couldn’t believe anyone else knew or much less loved that song. That’s when I knew my husband was my soulmate. He turned to me and said, “You know what? I f*cking love you.” This song chose us, not the other way around.
  5. I’m Not in Love – 10cc – I played the beginning of this song on repeat to get the tone right for the first time Noah and Josh make love. As they stare into each other’s eyes, their pupils dilate, and they are utterly smitten with each other. It’s quite dark and surreal, almost otherworldly. I wanted them to feel like they were falling helplessly into each other.
  6. Hold Your Horses – Nuit – One of the main characters has a very bad experience in a dance club. In my head this is the song that plays during that scene. It’s the feeling of losing control and giving into your base instincts.
  7. Slick Glam Love – Frédéric Auger – From a very hot dance scene. I can’t say anything more. It was the entire inspiration to write the second book True Faith, based on this single scene.
  8. True – Spandau Ballet – The song Noah requests for Josh at his birthday party. It is the first time they appear as a couple in public. Josh loves everything retro and anything associated with the 80s. Noah knows this and surprises him.
  9. Islands in the Stream – Dolly Parton and Kenney Rogers – The cheesy love song Sarita and Josh sing at karaoke. I never sing in public, but if I had to, it would be this song.
  10. If I Ain’t Got You – Alicia Keys – This was my wedding song. It follows on the main theme of the book, is what you want worth losing something you need
  11. Backstabbers – The O’Jays – There are several forces, both internal and external that do the pairing wrong. This song suits those situations perfectly.
  12. Smiling Faces Sometimes – The Undisputed Truth – My mother always taught me you can count on one hand the number of true friends you have. She was absolutely correct.
  13. Friends –Jody Watley featuring Eric B. & Rakim – There’s nothing worse than betrayal by those closest to you. Who do you trust? How can you trust anyone again? This song is a call to wake up see through the lies.

Author Bio:

T.L. always hated math, so it was a good thing she had a way with words. Since she was a shy and quirky kid; words were her best friends. She would imagine entire worlds in her head and talk to herself endlessly. Her mother wondered if she was speaking with ghosts for a while.

Her older sister was a voracious reader of trashy romance novels and would pass them down to her after she had finished them. T.L. was the only 10-year-old kid sitting in class reading “The Stud” by Jackie Collins during reading time. Oddly enough, she never got called out on it.

As she grew older, her tastes evolved, but one thing held fast; her undying attachment to love stories. One day out of the blue, she decided to write the love stories she always wanted to read instead of searching for her story. Since then, writing has been a dream fulfilled for her and she could not be happier.

She enjoys writing about love, regardless of gender and is a proud supporter of the LGBTQ community.

T.L. calls the Pacific Northwest her home and enjoys the quiet rural life of her little oceanside home with her playful/crazy husband and their giant dog Noah.
