Inked Series, Book 3

KM Neuhold

M/M Menage Romance

Release Date: 12.26.19

Kyle needed a place to stay, he never thought it would turn into so much more.

So, your gorgeous boss, Maverick, and his yummy husband, Ari, are letting you stay with them while you get back on your feet? Here are a few simple tips:

Don’t call his husband Daddy. I know it’ll be difficult, but seriously, don’t.

Don’t leave a pair of red, lacy panties in their bed.

If you hear interesting noises from their bedroom in the middle of the night, don’t peek in. Don’t.

And most importantly, don’t fall in love.

Follow these tips and everything should go as expected.

**This book is the third book in the Inked series, which is a spin-off of the Heathens Ink series, but it CAN be read as a stand-alone. Unexpected is a super sweet, steamy MMM story with low angst and very light Daddy kink.

4 Stars!

Kyle has been struggling to pay his rent after one of his friends moved out. It doesn’t help that his current boss, Maverick, is also struggling to keep his business afloat. When Kyle unexpectedly loses his apartment, he decides to crash at work for a few nights to get a handle on the situation. He’s mortified when he’s found by Ari, his boss’s husband, and shocked when he ends up staying with them.

Ari and Maverick have been trying everything to make Maverick’s store a success. Ari has been working as many hours as he can get and Maverick is trying to get the store to make money. The love Ari and Maverick have for one and another is amazing, but they clearly need to find a better balance in their lives.

I loved all these men. Ari and Maverick have a good thing going, but when Kyle comes into their home, it opens up some old wounds. They are all attracted to each other, but Kyle doesn’t want to get in between them, and Maverick is his boss. I felt for Maverick; it’s hard to open yourself up again after losing a partner like he and Ari had. Eventually, they all take a chance on each other. I loved how Ari would show that he was vulnerable even as he offered comfort to Maverick and that they all worked hard to communicate and be honest. They fit together so well and gave each other what they needed.

This book is the first in this series and the Heathens Ink series that I’ve read. I had no problems reading it as a standalone. I do plan on reading the others as soon as I can though; I loved the world and have been meaning to read the others for a while.

Author K.M. Neuhold is a complete romance junkie, a total sap in every way. She started her journey as an author in new adult, MF romance, but after a chance reading of an MM book she was completely hooked on everything about lovely- and sometimes damaged- men finding their Happily Ever After together. She has a strong passion for writing characters with a lot of heart and soul, and a bit of humor as well. And she fully admits that her OCD tendencies of making sure every side character has a full backstory will likely always lead to every book having a spin-off or series. When she’s not writing she’s a lion tamer, an astronaut, and a superhero…just kidding, she’s likely watching Netflix and snuggling with her husky while her amazing husband brings her coffee.
